Casement Coffee & Tea

Coffee and tea behind green shutters.

Opening hours

Pull up a chair. Stay for a second cup.

A long room in an old townhouse, kept the way we found it.

Brass pendant lamps hang over small tables and a cushioned window seat.

The window seat is yours till closing.

Laptops welcome before noon. Long conversations welcome all day.

About the house

We kept the old house as we found it: green shutters, red-oxide floor, a ceiling fan with opinions. Then we put in a very good espresso machine.

A barista pours steamed milk into a speckled cup held low in one hand.

A casement is a window that swings open on a hinge. Ours opens at half past seven and the light comes in in stripes through the shutters. Tea is brewed strong in the morning, coffee is pulled all day, and nobody hurries you out.

Hands shape croissants on a baking tray lined with paper.
Raindrops on a window pane, with warm city lights blurred behind them.

Open through the rain.

Rainy afternoons are our busiest. Leave the umbrella by the door.

Overheard at the counter

Demo stories: these people and their words are fictional, written to show how this section reads.

  • “I came in for one tea before work and stayed through lunch. The window seat does that.”

    Ines, weekday regular
  • “The maple latte tastes like autumn at my grandmother’s.”

    Tomas
  • “Quiet in the morning, loud with conversation by six. Both are good.”

    Wren and friends
Milk is poured into a white cup, finishing a leaf of latte art.

Keep a table by the shutters

Tell us when you are coming and how many. We will hold the window seat if it is free.
